I wanted to ...I completely agree with your article. I wanted to point out a technicality. There have been more martyrs in the 20th century than all previous centuries combined. However, this is simply because there are more Christians! If you look at the number of martyrs (annually, about 140,000 per year) as a % of the total number of Christians (2 billion, including all Catholics, Protestants, etc), then you realize the concentration of martyrs is very small. Persecution as a % of all Christians was far worse in the time of Rome, or even Tamerlane. We think we're being persecuted, and some of us are--but it's nowhere near as bad as it has been in history.
